Ruben Nijhuis is an Amsterdam-based creative developer. Working cross-disciplinary within the field of visual communication, interaction, and creative technology for over 5 years. Creating products for companies like Kids Academy, Louder Minds, and Devign.it.
He works exploratively in the pursuit of creating experiences that make the web a little more interesting. By playing with new technologies and 3D graphics he showcases people and businesses in new and interesting ways that attract clients and ensure successful conversions.
Currently, he is becoming an expert in software development at Codam Coding College. A university focused on filling the gap in tech by providing high-quality project-based peer-to-peer education. By simulating a true-to-life work environment Codam ensures that each developer that finishes its three-year course has the necessary skills to create the software of the future.
Working locally but looking internationally Ruben has had the pleasure to not only work in Amsterdam but also cities like Paris and New York. Setting his eyes on following an internship in the states and further growing his international culture.
With many years of experience of being an intern at digital agencies, he took a leap of faith and started his own agency Louder Minds – creating digital stages for ideas and people. Next to making badass stuff at Codam, he spends every second with designers and developers to finish the next product at his agency.
Apart from working on projects Ruben likes to train his creative muscle by constantly creating content, from poster design to DJ Sets, nothing is too daunting for him. He often compliments his work by bringing in ideas he got from creating his unique content. Being creative is something that fuels his passion for his work as he strives to make all his work interesting and unique.
